Picking all this cotton by hand is not fun because I have to pick all of the seeds out of the cotton and it takes too long to do this. I am glad the cotton gin was invented by Eli Whitney because its a benefit for everybody. It also means my work load becomes a whole lot easier for me and everyone else. It also means we could make a profit from this because we can grow alot more cotton and sell it to Britain.
There are many things that make up a nation. Back then a group of people born in a certain area determine that they were a nation. People who have the same color skin or same background also can make them a nation. I think you need a real strong government to establish a strong nation because you need some type of government or unless it would be chaos all over. You also need some type of president or ruler to keep things in some type of order and someone to go to when there is trouble.

Whos point of view is this from? The slaves picked the seeds, while the plantation owners got all the profit.
Is a slave REALLY going to be happy about a new invention that makes him work harder and longer?
